The Cause of the Dirty Water

We draw water out of the lake to make water for the District. The water goes to the plant and is treated with chemicals. With the lake water being high for so long the iron and manganese was high in the water we took in. We treated it with our chemicals and made clean water but once the chlorine gas hit the clean water it immediately turned it brown. Once we found out the issue the water was already filling the towers and water lines. With over a million gallons of water and all the miles of water lines it will take awhile before we have all of the water flushed out of the system.

We have had 3 employees working non-stop to flush the lines to try to resolve the issue faster. Please know...
